This section is updated regularly with newly published articles or other essays. I currently write a regular "Agony Aunt" column for The Autism File, better know as a "Dear Abby" column in the US. The Autism File is now available at WH Smith. Correct me if I am wrong, but I think this is the first time an autism magazine is sold in a mainstream bookshop. I also blog occasionally on the Huffington Post, and write for magazines and other publications when the opportunity arises. You may wish to check back here from time to time to read the latest. For those raising or teaching teenagers on the autism spectrum, you may want to read Brave New World : 13 Things to Keep in Mind as your Child with ASD Reaches Adolescence reprinted from the September / October 2006 issue of Autism Asperger's Magazine. For all the Brits out there, I wrote a similar article for The Autism File December 2007 edition.
If practical information about autism and work or career development is something you are interested in knowing more about, try Autism At Work or It’s Not About Jobs, It’s About Income and Interests. If you are a new parent to the autism spectrum, you may enjoy reading about my personal experiences with autism in Paris when my son Jeremy was very young, as in The Refrigerator Mother Club and Paris Patterns. Readers beware, you must have a sense of humor to enjoy them! If you want to read more about the dichotomy between the French and American cultures, read Frog Legs for Breakfast, The Move from Hell, or Crazy by Whose Standard?
If you are interested in reprinting any of these essays and articles, would like me to write for your publication or have any comments, please feel free to contact me.
